Keeping information short and sweet. As we are closing Mental Health Awareness Month, It is important to consider your mental health and how it affects your career daily. So many people go without ever treating their mental illness or truly recognizing how they function comes from a place of irregulated mental health.
A prime example is high functioning anxiety. On the outside these individuals seem put together, well organized, and overall well accomplished, but the reality is the person is worrying, struggling with stress, obsessive, and have thoughts of suicide.
As we are navigating through our careers and daily work not only give yourself room to breath and learn about your own work habits which can indicate a gap within your own mental health but also be kind to your coworkers and those around you.
Happy Mental Health Awareness Month and truly take some time off and practice #selfcare this month. Focus on reaching out when needed to your teammates as well as your leadership. Consider therapy routes to discuss daily life stresses.
